Nirvana: Lord Buddha's Final Journey

Kabeendra

This sculpture captures the lord at a time when he had renounced the mortal form. Carved out of wood, the very sight of the lord in nirvana embraces the mind with peace and calmness. As Lord Buddha attained enlightenment in this lifetime, he was able to escape the endless cycle of birth, death and rebirth (known as samsara) and was able to enter Nirvana. In this pose, the Buddha is always depicted lying on the right hand holding his head. The craftsmanship in display in its original form is rare and centuries old. This sculpture can embrace the living room or the courtyard. In respect to size, this master of a piece can also be custom made over a specific timeframe
Note: In all its grandeur this can be custom made i.e. hand crafted exclusively for you in a size of your choice to suit your needs.
