Samarathin: Seeking Peace with the Nature

Siddhartha Gautama went through a lot of hardships and faced challenges in the path of seeking his answers before becoming enlightened as the eternal Lord Buddha. It is said that when he attained spiritual knowledge, he touched the ground, requesting Mother Earth to stand as a witness to his enlightenment. This gesture of Lord Buddha, as shown in this Black Stone sculpture came to be known as Bhumi Sparsha Mudra. Yogis, for generations now, have been practicing this mudra in their meditations to connect with the Earth.
