Yuddha: The Fiery Dance

Ranjan

The Indian mythology is always quite riveting in narration and that is what has made it alluring, addictive and even revered to epic proportions. This chalkstone sculpture depicts one such story about Lord Shiva killing the demon Andhaka. The result of a fierce battle (Yuddha in Sanskrit), this divine dance by the lord over the body of the demon is known as Andhakasuravadha , which means impaling Andhaka. While Shiva forms the core of this intricately carved sculpture, several elements depicting the joy in winning lends an added charm to the masterpiece.

Suggested Placement: The main entrance or the corner of your living room or in your courtyard
